Up for sale a beautiful large sized decorative English antique solid sterling silver ladies handbag purse by the silversmiths E J Trevitt & Sons in very good condition and with full English silver hallmarks for Chester 1916.It has a hinged base and a sprung silver push-button lid opener lid and it hangs from its original silver link chains with large silver finger ring. Decorated on both sides with attractive reeded engraving and inside it is complete with its original partitioned soft kid leather interior and has 4 separate compartments. and has no added personal engravings in the cartouche.
Date English antique solid sterling silver with full English silver hallmarks for Chester 1916 (date letter "Q"). Good matching silver marks on both sides of the purse, the silver chains and finger ring are also 100% guaranteed antique silver. The silversmiths initials are "T & S" -E J Trevitt & Sons - 1900 - 1935.

 Condition Good condition, with no splits or repairs, definitely no wear/polish holes and no nasty knocks or dents, just minor little surface age-related surface bruises, really nothing much at all and a lovely antique example and a nice more uncommon bigger size. The silver base hinge and silver sprung push-button lid opener both still work perfectly and the lid opens and closes tightly and securely. Decorated with attractive reeded engraving and the silver chains and finger ring are all undamaged. The interior soft kid leather lining is definitely original and also in good condition, (just a bit of age marking) and it has a good heavy silver weight and has no added personal engravings.

This item has been used previously and may have some signs of cosmetic wear, but is in very good condition.Purchased from a private collection in London,UK.See the dimensions and condition in the photos.
