Aged for approximately eight years, Willett Pot Still Reserve Bourbon is the product of 150 years of Willett family tradition. The Willett Distilling Company is located in Bardstown, Kentucky. As a relatively large independent bottling company, they’re called the big daddy of Bourbon and Rye Bottling.
From the same Bourbon house that produces the superb Noah's Mill and Rowans Creek as well as also producing the Johnny Drum, Kentucky Vintage and Old Bardstown brands and is this the best bit of packaging going as it comes in a very lovely pot still shaped bottle.
Nose: Toasted pine nuts, chocolate orange, minty tobacco, demorera sugar, rich toffee.
Palate: Toffee popcorn, fresh cereal and buttery corn, chocolate orange, touches of mint and aromatic spice, hazelnut and clove.
Finish: Menthol, toasted hazelnuts, caramel, popcorn, orange fondant and aromatic spices.
A dry and spicy led Bourbon and very mellow and easy drinking and once you have polished this off you will have a lovely decanter to keep!
