Both the Blue2 and Red2 use a four piece OTL cantilever that has a Grado specific diamond mounted on a brass bushing. The Red2 are hand selected from Blue2 production runs which meet higher test specifications. Approximately 10% of the run usually exhibits these specs and become a Red2.
 
Grado's OTL, or optimized transmission line, technology provides an ideal transfer of signal from the surface of the LP to the generator of the system. This technology rejects unwanted resonances and lowers distortion preserving the fundamental and harmonic frequencies of the music. This also helps keep noise generated by the motor system in the cartridge to a minimum.
 
Grado's OTL stylus/cantilever design makes records sound quieter, improves the height, width, and depth of the soundstage, and present more detail than previously obtainable.

The Red2 & Blue2 are all hand assembled by Grado's team in Brooklyn, with some builders having over 25 years of experience. With the recent development of the highly received Lineage Series of cartridges, they were able to have a trickle down of technology and bring a new technique to the Red2 & Blue2. This updated series of cartridges offers excellent tonal balance, dynamics, and realism, for a most rewarding reproduction of vocals and instruments. Grado's coil winding techniques, using ultra high purity copper wire which were honed during the development of the Lineage Series, have let the electrical circuits achieve unison between the four coils in each phono cartridge. This allows for a precise balance between channels and accurate stereo imaging.
 
As in all Grado phono cartridges the Red2 & Blue2 are powered by a twin magnet system that optimizes the balance between stereo channels. All internal magnetic circuit parts are held to extremely high tolerances creating the desired stereo imaging. Grado's patented Flux-Bridger design allows the Red2 & Blue2 to have one of the lowest effective moving mass generating systems while creating an excellent balance throughout the full frequency range.
 
The development of the Epoch in the Lineage Series gave Grado an in-depth experience with using an outer housing as a damping device. This led to the creation of a process which de-stresses the chassis and dissipates unwanted energy & resonant frequencies, allowing the desired signal to travel freely.

DELIVERY:

We endeavour to despatch same day (for orders placed up to 2pm) on available stock items to the vast majority of UK mainland addresses. Please remember to check with us first for a physical stock check if next day delivery is important to you.

UK ORDERS:  We despatch the bulk of our UK mainland items on a 24 hour service – Free of Charge.  Free delivery also applies to the Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Scottish highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland but may take a day or so longer. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail recorded delivery or special delivery. Larger items are delivered using a courier service such as Interlink Express, DPD, UPS or DHL. 

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: We offer competitive rates which can be confirmed by email. Please just ask – we will need a full delivery address and telephone number. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail Small Packets Airmail with International Tracked and/or Signed depending on value of item and availability of the service. Larger International shipments are sent by insured and tracked services using DPD, DHL or UPS. If there are any delays due to specific customs regulations, etc, you will be contacted by Turntableworld or by the courier with a request for any further information required. Customs duties do not apply for shipments into any EU country (for a full list please refer to the EU Country List). Customs duties can apply for countries outside of the EU. Customers in these countries are responsible for all taxes and duties incurred when the items enter their country.

RETURNS:

Sometimes unfortunately things can go wrong…

Incorrect/Incomplete delivery – we have been known to make a mistake. Contact us within 24 hours to discuss how we can put it right. The sooner we know, the sooner we can put it right.

Damaged item – Occasionally even when we’ve done our best to pack things well, damage can occur. Please make sure you sign for the item as DAMAGED. If you are unsure please sign for a delivery as UNCHECKED. Then contact us within 24 hours and if possible send photos of the damage. We will replace at no cost to you.

Faulty item - Contact us within 24 hours to arrange a replacement at our cost.

Any other reason - You have the right to cancel your order (for any reason) in line with the Distance Selling Regulations 2000 up to fourteen working days after the day of receipt of goods, given that:

1.     Cancellation must by in writing (either email or post is fine).

2.     The goods must not be damaged or soiled in any way (or a full refund will not be possible).

3.     Cost of return is your responsibility.

4.     Goods arrive back undamaged (please insure the shipment).

5.     Goods should returned in their original packaging and must be complete.

6.     Special non stock orders are non returnable.

The following goods are non returnable once opened: sealed media, cleaning fluids, general consumables, phono cartridges, earphones and headphones, unless they were damaged or faulty on delivery. Goods that do not meet the above criteria will be subjected to a 20% surcharge because put simply they will not be in an appropriate condition for resale.

Even though we despatch on some of the fastest (and safest) services available, we cannot be held liable for any losses you may occur as a result of a late or faulty delivery.

The easiest way to pay us for an ebay purchase is by Paypal, however we also accept payment by debit or credit card if you prefer. Cash and cheque (with supporting card) are also acceptable if collecting from our retail shop.
