An extremely influential figure in French history, Marie Antoinette, once Queen of France was a key figure in the rich history of Versailles. Born in Austria, Marie married the then King Louis XVI, but was largely disliked by the French people because of her ties to Austria, a country that had a running feud with France.

Arriving at the French Palace of Versailles at just 15 years old, Marie lived in the Queens State Apartment but preferred spending her time in her private chambers and in the Petit Trianon, a Greek-style pavilion sat in the gardens of the palace.

On view from this beautiful building was the ever iconic Temple of Love, a neo-classical construction made up of twelve pillars that support a central dome.

A place of peace and rest for Marie Antoinette, we are extremely excited to announce the release of this expertly crafted silver coin which beautifully replicates the patterned ceiling of the prized Temple of Love. Employing an expertly curated 4-layer design, this huge 55mm coin showcases great attention to detail, allowing you to admire the beauty of this neo-classical masterpiece in all its glory.

Celebrating a monument now visited by millions of tourists each year, this coin is extremely limited-edition with only 999 pieces available worldwide.
