Antique Chinese Double Happiness opium box - (3910)
Plain undecorated opium box made of dark buffalo horn. A Double Happiness character is inlaid on the lid. It was a normal practice to decorate opium paraphernalia with auspicious symbols in the old days. The opium box dates from the Qing period (1644 – 1912). Height 4.5 cm. Diameter 2.9 cm.
