1 JIS waterproof protection rating IPX8 (protection against submersion): No malfunction has been confirmed under our test conditions when the product is submerged at a depth of 2 m for 30 minutes with a swimming earpiece attached. The Walkman's main unit functions are maintained even when subjected to a direct jet of water from any direction under the condition that water is injected at a rate of approximately 12.5L/minute for at least 3 minutes from a distance of approximately 3m with the earpiece for swimming attached. Liquids subject to waterproofing are fresh water, tap water, sweat, pool water, and seawater. If the Walkman is exposed to other liquids (soapy water, water containing detergent or bath salts, shampoo, hot spring water, etc.), immediately rinse it with fresh water and wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. (The product cannot be used in a sauna because it is out of the allowable temperature range.
2 IP6X (dust ingress protection rating): The Walkman has been confirmed to have the ability to prevent dust from entering the Walkman after being placed in a device containing dust of 75 μm or less in diameter for 8 hours while wearing the earpiece for swimming and then being removed from the device.
3 The Walkman can be used for swimming in a pool up to 2m deep. Please use the Walkman in accordance with the rules of the facility where it is used.
Do not use the device in places where it would be dangerous to be unable to hear the surrounding sound (railroad crossings, station platforms, roads where cars are passing, construction sites, etc.).
Do not use it while driving a car, motorcycle, bicycle, etc.

Microphones built into the left and right headphones are equipped with a function to capture ambient sounds and human voices. This function allows users to pay attention to what is going on around them during sports and communicate with people around them. The outside sound capturing function can be switched on and off, so you can choose when you want to concentrate and when you want to listen to outside sounds as well.

The "outside sound capturing" function makes it easier to hear sounds around you, but it does not make it possible to hear all sounds. (When the music volume is turned up high or depending on the surrounding conditions, you may not be able to hear the outside sound.
