HiFi tuning Supreme³ fuse holder

with 32A automatic fuse Supreme³ Rev. 2.0 Cardas copper 24k gold plated

Bernd Ahne from HiFi-Tuning thought for a long time about how to approach the topic of fuse holders in the fuse box and optimal sound even more intensively. After all, the entire power supply for the hi-fi system has to go through this bottleneck. So there is hardly any other place that can make it so easy to upgrade the sound of the system.

The contact surfaces inside are made of solid copper and are silver-plated and gold-plated with 24-carat gold.

Strictly speaking, there are even a few more work steps after that, but these remain Bernd Ahne's trade secrets in order to prevent imitation products. The fuse holder takes Supreme³ - fuses in the format 10.3 x 38 mm with up to 32 A. It is advisable to remove finger grease from their caps with a dry cloth before inserting them.

This is a special version of the Supreme³ specifically for use in fuse holders in control cabinets. It uses a black ceramic case. The fuse thread and the end caps are made of a silver-copper alloy. The end caps are additionally gold-plated with 24 carat. Bernd Ahne from HiFi-Tuning recommends having a trusted electrician install a suitable fuse holder. The sound improvements are very clearly audible.

An improved version of this fuse has been delivered since April 2020. This uses a security thread primarily made of Grade 1 Cardas copper, which made it necessary to redevelop the manufacturing process at the supplier. Rev. 2.0 can then be read on the packaging. Sounds a little better than the previous version.

The term "automatic fuse" is somewhat misleading, because of course an automat does not have a fuse installed in the switch cabinet, but the fuse holder that can also be installed in the switch cabinet does.

Attention: The installation of the fuse holder is a job for the electrician! Don't mess around in the fuse box, just play music.
