Broad Windsor Faba Bean (Vicia faba) is also known as a broad bean and is an excellent cover crop. Technically not a bean and more closely related to Vetch. Best grown in cooler temps ranging from 60-70 degrees, these should never be planted in the heat of the summer. Excellent as a cover crop. The pods are similar to lima beans and will contain 5-7 beans. Very edible and delicious, best known for Mediterranean cuisine and high in Vitamin K and B-6, among other vitamins and mineral
