This is for the map or chart of the Pacific Ocean that you see in the photos. Various dates indicate to me that the it was first printed in 1887 and that the current printing was in 1937. I believe that it is British. Please look at the photos for details of its nature. I believe that it is an original map and not a copy. <p>

The sheet of relatively heavy paper that it is printed on measures close to 39 ½ by 40 inches and weighs close to 6.4 ounces.

The condition is much like you see it in the photos. I count about 20 tack holes with about half being in the margins or just inside the borders of the map and the rest being on the chart itself. I do not find them to be very noticeable. There are some wrinkles and fold and bend marks in the paper. It is not folded exactly square. The side with the map is relatively clean with just a tiny amount of soil from a tack or two. The blank backside has some light soil. There are no tears. Otherwise, this map or chart is generally fine and as shown.

I guarantee this map to be as described and represented by the 23 photos after the general description. The photos are part of the description. Please look at all of them.

Please know that the lighting in my photos is uneven and that there might be shadows or reflections. The colors on my monitor look close to but not exactly like the actual colors. Different monitors may show different colors. I often say that an item measures or weighs “close to” because in my opinion no measurements are exact and some things are difficult to measure.

I like to leave feedback after I know that the item has arrived and that the buyer is satisfied.

I reserve the right to cancel any bids without explanation.

I frequently purchase signature delivery for my more valuable packages because of the possibility of them being stolen off of a porch or damaged by weather. I often but not always ship the same or the next day. Often, I have a double wall box custom made for larger items and that might result in a short delay. When I use packing peanuts, they are usually biodegradable. Sometimes, I use used boxes.

Please email me with any questions or suggestions. I do not ship on weekends. I might not be available to answer email on weekends.
