Joe Bonamassa 1962 ES-335 from Epiphone!

In the world of guitars, there are times when a particular model shines more special than others.

When a model has been owned and played by a world-class guitarist/guitar collector like Joe Bonamassa, it takes on a special feel.

In 1996, Joe purchased a 1962 ES-335 with a red finish, which he used to record his first solo album, "A New Day Yesterday."

In 2001, however, he gave up the guitar in tears to finance his move from New York to Los Angeles.

Then, coincidentally, on the 20th anniversary of Joe's first album, he received a fateful and unexpected phone call.

Thus, the red-finish ES-335 that played on his first solo album and led him to the West Coast was once again in Joe's possession.

Biting his lip at the good fortune of having it again, Joe has vowed to keep it with him for the rest of his life.
