Antique Brass Plated Yale & Towne Nubian C:1920 Matching Backplate & Doorknobs.

Antique ornately detailed pressed steel backplates/  escutcheons with matching door knobs. These were originally brass plated but the plating has worn thin and one has been painted white and it is chipping off. It is Stamped Yale 509S on the back. The pattern is called the Nubian and is Circa 1920. They are both Straight with no dinks or dents and will sit flat against the door. They have tarnished and/or were painted and will need stripped and polished to bring out the shine. They would be gorgeous restored with a new brass plating or even a chrome finish. The backplates measure 8" tall x 2⅜" wide. From center of door knob hole to top of Skeleton Keyhole is 2¼" approximately. Spindle and set screws are  included as well. Give your doors or newly created heirloom instant period appeal with these distinguished hardware pieces. Perfect for restoration, replacing existing hardware, or up-cycling.

Please remember that these are old pieces, many coming from homes 80 to 120 years old so they will NEVER EVER be perfect and will always show some evidence of natural wear.
