Vintage Royal Doulton Coaching Days Series Ware Trio, Scenes 10, 4 & 20
The Coaching Days Series ware was introduced in 1905, extended to 1929, then finally withdrawn in 1955.
The back stamps on the all three was technically used 1902 and 1922, but there is an impressed date of 6 30 on the plate which is June 1930.
Each has a different scene - the concept of series ware was to collect as many scenes as possible to make your set.
- Plate: Scene 10: Tightening the harness, goose and hare hanging from coach
- Saucer: Scene 4: Innkeeper talking to driver, attendants boarding
- Cup: Scene 16: Man with trunk, coach approaching through snow
Size: Plate: 16cm in diameter, Saucer: 13.5cm in diameter, Cup: 7cm deep and 7cm in diameter
In good used condition with age related wear (scratches, wear on trim, crazing)
