M42-NEX LENS ADAPTER FOR M42 SCREW MOUNT LENS TO SONY NEX E-MOUNT CAMERA

This adapter allows you to mount your M42 screw-mount lenses on your Sony NEX camera.
  • Easy to install and remove.
  • Turn on ‘shoot without lens’ to use MF lenses with adapters.
  • Use your LCD to Focus in manual focus mode (Auto Focus will not work with this adapter). It allows you to focus to infinity.
  • Set your camera to ‘shoot without lens’ and disable "Shutter Lock" to use the adapter correctly.
This adapter will not fit SONY α7 (R, S, ii) and Sony A mount cameras, nor will it fit ASAHI TAKUMAR M42 lenses as these use a lever on the back of the mount.

Instructions below on enabling shoot without a lens mode:

If your camera indicates "lens is not properly installed", please modify the camera settings: 'Menu' -> 'Setup' -> 'Release w/o Lens' -> 'Enable' (Exact naming and location may change depending on camera model). If your lens does not have a manual aperture control ring, it will stop down to its smallest f/stop by default.
Set camera "release shutter without lens" to enable when using the adapter for the first time, or the camera will fail to recognise the lens, and the shutter may not be released.
