PENSTEMON SUPERBUS, CORAL PENSTEMON, SUPERB BEARDTONGUE

Remarkable perennial for modern garden design. Relatively rare in wild. It is founded only in a few locations on border of USA and Mexico. It has very ornamental, glaucous, blue-green, large, thick leaves and vivid coral red flowers (to 3 cm across) on long stems in late spring/early summer. Watering will prolong the bloom time. Beautiful with or without flowers. Unusual colour. Very suitable for border, xeriscaping, rock-garden. Good cut flower.

-Sow: any time indoors; October-April outdoors; do not cover the seeds completely- just press them into soil; germination 14- 30 days at 15- 20 C; if germination does not occur after 4 weeks, the cooling period of 2 weeks is recommended (3 to 10 C);

-Aftercare: full sun and well-drained, dry soil; hardy to -35 C;
