CAMPANULA SARMATICA, GEORGIAN BELLFLOWER

This rarely offered, endangered Campanula species is native to sub-alpine rocky and stony slopes of the Caucasus Mountains. It makes a decorative rosette of felty wave edged grey leaves to 10 cm long. In summer erect flowering stems are topped by loose racemes of soft blue flared flowers 4 cm wide. A handsome plant for rock garden and front of the border. Good cut flower.
