This Harvey Kuenn H&B Louisville Slugger LEADER No. 9 bat appears to date to the 1950's.  It is 34" long and has strong burned-in markings. Knob intact and nice medium brown color. It has an unrepaired crack on the back of the handle that does not show when the bat is displayed from the front. Some dents and a few cleat marks but otherwise a nice display bat.  Harvey Kuenn though not in the HOF, did more than many players who are - go figure?  He played the best part of his career with the Dertroit Tigers where he was Rookie of the year in 1953, won the AL batting title in 1959 hitting .353, was a 10 time AL All Star, led the AL four years in hits and hit .303 lifetime! Great addition to any Tigers collection. All questions welcome.
