Skorina; on the left and on the right - a decorative ornament, in the field of which are entered: on the left - the year of minting, on the right - the assay of the alloy (on silver); at the bottom in the center is the denomination: 20 RUBLES (on silver) and 1 RUBEL (on copper-nickel).

Reverse
in the center - an image of a Venetian window, decorated with elements of floral ornament and signs from the engravings of F. Skaryna; in the opening of the arch, against the background of the view of Polotsk from the engraving of the 16th century, there is a ship (the emblem of the coat of arms of Polotsk); at the base of the composition there is an open book and an inscription: POLATSK; at the top in a circle there is an inscription: WAYS OF SKARYNA.
