 Masterpiece by Puiforcat, impossible to find, extremely rare service 2 pieces in sterling silver and 18 karat gold.

Including a sugar sifter spoon with circular pierced bowl with 18-karat gold finishing, stem and handle are heavily pierced and have masks on both sides with stylized foliate decoration in the manner of Louis XIV and a sugar tong with three slightly curved tines, the pierced handles are decorated with  masks motif.
Called Mascaron, this one of the fantasy patterns found in the catalog of the Maison Puiforcat. The set is presented in its original box. No monograms on the two pieces, monogram R.F on the original box.

The sophistication of this design, the piercing of the upper part and the open work handle are of particularly fine quality. Its manufacture would have necessitated many more hours work than usual.
