Please Note: if you want to use it directly inside the PC with SATA Power;

I have been using and testing drives in External Enclosures, but recently I was informed from another buyer about using the drive directly inside the PC with PC Sata Power Cable. Drives work great in the external enclosures, but the 3V pin should be blocked if you want to use directly inside PC with SATA Power. Easy process, and very common thing about using WD HDDs inside PC.

HSMR is a new term for Hybrid SMR, which allows data centers to use this drive setup for higher capacity like 22TB, but the tool is  available for data centers. Drive is default CMR for 18TB as a multipurpose regular SATA drive. 

If later date, this tool is made public, you can format this drive for higher capacity like 22TB average.
