Akai MPC 5000 Main PCB (Parts, not working fully, faulty)

I have an Akai MPC 5K which developed a fault a few months ago.  I am good with electronics and narrowed it down to either the main board or upper right board.

I bought 1 of each new.

Swapped out the upper right board first, tried the replacement new board which I bought brand new from MPC Stuff in the US and it made no difference to my 5K.  Same symptoms. 

I put in the new main board and it fixed it.  I am now selling the old main board as I don't have a need for it.

If you check my other items you will see the new upper board for sale on ebay.

With this board in the 5K the 5k showed a staggered, randomly moving image on lcd and it kept defaulting to the Input through screen.  The 5k responded to button presses, lights came on and off by the buttons etc but kept going back to input through screen.  I replaced all capacitors, no difference.  Voltages coming from psu test correctly.  There seems to be a short around the main  bunch of capacitors / diodes in the upper right as orientated in the pic but I could not fix it hence bought new main board - it could be anything from something simple (diode, resistor) to a faulty chip so bear this in mind if thinking about buying this. 

This may be of use to someone either for parts or to fix for use.

This item is accurately described, It is not fully working, working correctly. Do not buy if you want a fully working board.
