Here's a one-of-a-kind original piece of advertising art for the Duke of Windsor Hotel in Melbourne by Fred Negro, mayor of the St Kilda music scene.

Fred is an artist, singer, cartoonist, advertising man and maven of the scene for over 40 years - the backbone of the legendary St Kilda music scene that's spawned the likes of Nick Cave, Powder Monkeys and Fred's own bands, I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVY and the BRADY BUNCH LAWNMOWER MASSACRE, known for their outrageous antics onstage.

A gifted and highly trained cartoonist and graphic artist, Fred produced flyers and display ads for the local street press, defining the look of the scene with wacky, sexually explicit satire and irreverence. Fred also created the PUB cartoon strip that chronicled the history of ratbags and musicians in Inpress magazine. Thirty-three years and still going strong.

Barely known outside his hometown, Fred's profile is increasing due the the upcoming doco about him, PUB: THE MOVIE. Awareness of Fred will increase demand for his work.

Here's an opportunity to get in one the ground floor and own a one-of-a-kind piece of Australian music history.
