2LP black vinyl in gatefold sleeve. Hercules & Love Affair return from the studio in 2022 with a new album. »In Amber« is the follow-up to 2017's »Omnion« and thus the first album by New York DJ and producer Andy Butler's project in five years.

Twelve new songs are waiting for the record, which was already announced with the first single "Grace", in which the musician Elin Ey from Reykjavík sings alongside Butler.

Of "In Amber," Butler said in a statement, "Dance music tends to focus more on celebration, joy, longing and heartbreak. But anger? Existential contemplation? Not so much...certain emotions seemed taboo. In a way, 'In Amber' is a record I didn't know I had in me.« And it continues: »As an artist who always brings his personal life experience into his work, not to mention the chaos , which I have experienced in recent years, I could not in good conscience do something comfortable. I had to express my discomfort. Making a 90's style techno or house record or a weird 80's style dance track wasn't something I had to do.«

The album sees Hercules & Love Affair reunite with English singer-songwriter Anhoni for the first time since the song "Blind" from their 2008 debut album Hercules & Love Affair. Siouxsie And The Banshees drummer Budgie will also be featured on "In Amber."
