I purchased this fantastic piece of folk art at an estate sale and the elderly lady there told me the story of its history. She said her mom was a bartender and one day a hobo artist came by looking for work and she traded him lunch and a beer for him to paint the top of the trunk. It has been in her household ever since. The bracket that holds the lid up on the inside needs to be screwed back in. It shows normal signs of age and use. The handles on each side are made of leather. Please view all of the pictures as they are part of the description and email me with any questions, thank you!
