With a long and intense career, more than 55 years performing on stages around the world, Raimon decided to put an end to his artistic career and to do so he chose the stage where he has always felt most identified, the Palau of Catalan Music. Raimon's first solo recitals at the Palau of Catalan Music were on January 24 and 28, 1967 and since then there have been 55 recitals in the same scenario.During May 2017 Raimon chose this modernist venue to offer 12 farewell recitals, he made an anthological review of his career, including songs that he had not performed live for many years, such as the song by Víctor Jara "Amanda" among others, in addition to two premieres, two beautiful and emotional unpublished songs reserved for a good and full farewell. The first of them "I nosaltres both they” with a music that sometimes seems medieval with a current letter that does not leave indifferent. The another premiere is a fun Neapolitan, full of love and complicity “Napolitana per a tu” Two unpublished songs that show that Raimon decided to put an end to his career, not only in fullness of voice and interpretive force that has characterized him, but also in fullness creative.fair one year after the last recital, and coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the Price recital “13 de març –song dels believers-“ and the Madrid recital “18 de maig a La Villa”, we present an album, which includes 2 CD's where the 35 songs from the last recital are collected, as well as a DVD with the historic concert recorded by TV3. All accompanied by a 52-page booklet with all the lyrics of the songs in Catalan, Spanish, English and French, served in format digipack.“the last recital”, Raimon is accompanied by his usual musicians: Miquel Blasco and Joan Urpinell guitars, Fernando Serena double bass and Pau Domenech clarinet, clarinet under.A album to listen to, to see, to enjoy and to be moved. An album to have in your collection, because it is also a historical document that is part of our lives.
