In response to questions from potential buyers, the camera was recently tested with an external microphone and a video capture system to verify if it would produce video images without any problems when captured directly instead of using the faulty DV recorder: the video images captured were good quality images without any problems. (March 18, 2022).

Test results show that the video images recorded by the Mini DV skips and slow down during playback; we were not able to verify if the skipping was as a reault of a dysfunctional tape recording sysyem or just a dysfunctional playback sysyem.

An SD card was slotted in to test the photo functionality of the camera and we can confirm that the camera works well as a photo camera with good digital images stored on the SD card.

This listing is for the main camera unit only. Battery, SD card, connection cables and all other accessories are not included. Please take a close look at the pictures as the item is sold 'as is' and 'as seen on pictures'. Also note that the inbuilt microphone is missing (but when an external XLR microphone was connected the volume bars responded to the sound).

Item is in a fairly good cosmetic condition overall,  but shows signs of wear like scratches, scuffs, cracks and marks.
