The Jeannie Rug range blends two of our favourite fabrics - sustainable jute and recycled blue denim offcuts! A fabulous eco-friendly choice and the clever combination can suit a variety of home décor and interiors.
These lovely products are hand woven by skilled artisan weavers. Strips of denim are braided with the raw jute and stitched together to give a striped pattern. The result is a simple flat weave rug around a centimetre in thickness. This makes them ideal for placement under furniture as well as in an open room. Look out for the authentic GoodWeave label, and the unique number, which gives you assurance that your rug has been ethically sourced from a closed network of high quality producers.

ETHICALLY
SOURCED - Produced by one of our favourite GoodWeave suppliers and part of
a closed network of certified producers. Each rug is individually numbered so
that you can be sure of its unique handling and its ethical source. Our
certification fees help to fund premises inspection and education centres for
children and young people.
ECO-FRIENDLY
- Made with two eco-friendly materials: sustainable jute and recycled
denim. Jute comes from one of the
fastest growing plant types and its long, strong fibres make it ideal for
weaving. Recycled denim is made from
materials which would otherwise have gone to waste. Energy efficient too - the flat weave style
is hand woven on a traditional loom and no machinery is involved.
CARE
OF YOUR RUG - The finished piece is reversible meaning that it can be rolled up
when not in use. It can be shaken, or spot cleaned if necessary. If
placing on a hard floor with heavy footfall, then you may wish to use rug mesh
or similar to hold the rug in place.
Take care to avoid colour transfer if the rug becomes damp or in contact
with sensitive surfaces.
