General Notes & Book Condition Guide

All books are graded into 6 categories (Brand New, Like New, Very Good, Good, Acceptable). If it is a book discarded from a library, it will be marked as Ex-Library in addition to one of the above labels. Used books usually come with expired or already used access codes. I try to provide an honest and  comprehensive description of the condition of the book but it is not always practically possible to list every minute detail. If a part of the item  (dust jacket, case, box etc) not shown in the photos it is most likely not included in the listing. If you are looking for a specific edition/impression please check the ISBN and photos carefully. However, old books do not have ISBNs and some publishers have used the same ISBN for different editions and impressions in the past. Also, I cannot guarantee the audio quality of cassettes, CDs and records as I have not checked them. • Brand New: A new, unread, unused book in perfect condition with no missing or damaged pages. See the seller's listing for full details
• Like New: A book that looks new but has been read. Cover has no visible wear, and the dust jacket (if applicable) is included for hard covers. No missing or damaged pages, no creases or tears, and no underlining/highlighting of text or writing in the margins. There may be very minimal identifying marks on the inside cover. Very minimal wear and tear. See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections
• Very Good: A book that does not look new and has been read but is in excellent condition. No obvious damage to the cover, with the dust jacket (if applicable) included for hard covers. No missing or damaged pages, no creases or tears, and no underlining/highlighting of text or writing in the margins. There may be very minimal identifying marks on the inside cover. Very minimal wear and tear. See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections
• Good: A book that has been read but is in good condition. Very minimal damage to the cover including scuff marks, but no holes or tears. The dust jacket for hard covers may not be included. Binding has minimal wear. The majority of pages are undamaged with minimal creasing or tearing, minimal pencil underlining of text, no highlighting of text and no writing in margins. • Acceptable: A book with obvious wear. May have some damage to the cover but integrity still intact. The binding may be slightly damaged but integrity is still intact. Possible writing in margins, possible underlining and highlighting of text, but no missing pages or anything that would compromise the legibility or understanding of the text.
