Vintage FRY-O 50 lb Shortening Beef Lard Fat Lge Metal Tin Can Retro Farmhouse

For your consideration is this large vintage metal shortening can. It is a 50 lb. size. It has a blue\ retro style lettering on white. It has a lid as well as handles.

The brand is Fry-O. It was made by the Independent Products in Woburn, MA (just north of Boston). sometime around the 1950-60s.

This lard can would look make great vintage decor for your cottage or farmhouse kitchen. It would be perfect to store cat or dog food. It is flat on top and big enough that you could actually use it as a small occasional table perhaps on your porch or in your she-shed or garden room (store gardening supplies or bird seed in it). Or take the lid off and use as a wastebasket, to hold firewood, whatever!

It would make a great prop in a restaurant or bakery, vintage kitchenware store, etc.

This large metal can is in overall good vintage condition with expected signs of age such as scratches, paint loss and some dents and dings to the body and lid. There is no significant rust. Please use your zoom for a good look.

It measures approx. 16-1/2" high. x 13” diameter.

It will weigh about 5lbs packed safely. It will obviously need a large box to ship safely. Local pickup just north of Boston welcome.

Thank you!
