Here is an extremely rare and desirable Riken Gokoku No. 1 which was the first camera made by Riken which would later become Ricoh.  The camera is a Leica style camera but instead of being a 35mm camera it was a 127 film camera.  The camera makes a beautiful display piece.  It has its original case and front RKK lens cap.  I am selling the camera "as-is" for display or repair.  I tried out the shutter but it feels like it is not catching when I wind it.  The shutter curtain starts to move and then it feels like the winder skips.  My guess is it is a mechanical issue and not an issue with the curtain.  The lens focuses and the diaphragm works fine.  The lens is Gokoku Anastigmat f3.5 50mm. The glass could probably use a cleaning if one wanted to make the camera user ready.  The chrome on the camera is very good.  The leather covering is original and also in great shape showing light wear.  It has its original case.  The case does have a split in the lower back so the front top section is not attached to the bottom rear of the case.  The Gokoku No. 1 camera was only made for a limited time and not many were made and most were lost during the war.  A rare chance to get one for your collection.  Check out my other auctions for more vintage cameras including some other rare early Japanese Leica style cameras.  Buyer pays shipping and the shipping quote includes insurance.
