Mundo de Aventuras was a Portuguese comic book magazine. It began its publication on August 18, 1949. 
1841 issues were published until January 15, 1987, the date on which it was last published.

It started out as a magazine with ongoing stories, publishing, in its first phase, essentially North American comics.

In his first issue he started with the publication of the series Steve Canyon, Rip Kirby, Flash Gordon, Brick Bradford, Barney Baxter, Johnny Hazard and Alley Oop.

Mandrake the Magician was a syndicated newspaper comic strip, created by Lee Falk (before he created The Phantom).Mandrake began publication on June 11, 1934. Phil Davis soon took over as the strip's illustrator, while Falk continued to script. The strip was distributed by King Features Syndicate.
