AGERATUM MEXICANUM “BLUE HORIZON”, GIANT AGERATUM, FLOSS FLOWER

One of the tallest ageratum variety with shrub-like habit and heart shaped, dark green leaves. It is a brightly coloured favorite for all gardeners. This hybrid variety produces tall sturdy stems that are multibranching. Stems reach a maximum height of 75 cm and provide a dense ground cover for shading any new weed growth. “Blue Horizon” produces lavender-blue to purplish-blue fluffy flowers that grow in bunches which are to 10 cm in diameter. This unique selection is essential in the cut-flower garden, great in the border and stunning in containers. It is very attractive to butterflies, bees and other pollinating insects, which is why it is also recommended for cultivation in vegetable gardens and orchards. It has gained prestigious Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
