This invaluable sewing tool will quickly become one of her favorites. The sharp pointed tool keeps fabric from shifting when sewing ends of seams and grabs and adjusts straying fabric with its sharp tip. It's ideal for needlework, sewing, leatherwork and quilting. Makes a great gift when used along with our seam ripper, in fact, the stiletto blade is interchangeable with seam ripper blades - so one holder can serve as a holder for either blade. Extra blades sold separately.

Osage Orange (American) is a lighter color of Orange than the darker Argentine type. It has a brighter yellow appearance which oxidizes to a dark brown. Osage Orange can be quite difficult to work with due to its density but, is quite strong and works well in bow construction.

As a world-renowned artisan, I was able to form this fine instrument through a painstaking process that involved several hours and stages in order to present a finely polished work of art. The blank was measured and drilled before inserting brass tubes. It was then trued on each end before being placed on my Rikon midi-lathe for the shaping using various chisels. When the desired shape was achieved, I then took it through a multi-stage sanding process finishing with nine steps of micro-mesh, followed with several coats of Cyanoacrylate and then finished by polishing with Carnauba wax resulting in a glass like finish.

This fine instrument is destined to provide years of pleasure for the discriminating user. Its unique, one-of-a-kind design will speak volumes to your individuality, knowing that you are carrying the pride of handmade craftsmanship that is often lacking in a world of duplicity
