Lithium Polymer Battery Technology -

Not all Lithium Batteries are the same. The difference comes down to chemistry - what element the Lithium is paired with.

Lithium Polymer Batteries have crucial advantages over other Ternery or other standard Lithium Ion battery chemistries, including:

- No fire Hazard, even if punctured, overcharged, or shorted.

- Longer lifespan in both terms of years and charge cycles.

- Up to 2500 charge/discharge cycles with 80% capacity remaining.

- No rare earth elements with questionable sourcing, like cobalt

These batteries will last longer overall compared to all other options for Segway batteries.

Segway Batteries with Ternery cells are made in China and can and will internally ignite and cause a fire if damaged in any way, including over charging, exposure to moisture or for seemingly no reason at all.  This is typical of low quality Chinese cells in any product.

These batteries will work with all i2, x2, XT, i180, i170, and other gen one Segways capable of using lithium batteries

They are covered under a one year warranty against defects, which is basically everything but leaving the battery uncharged for an extended period of time and water damage.  In all other circumstances, the battery will be repaired or replaced in a timely manner.

-These batteries have a capacity of 7.2ah compared to 5.2ah for a standard Segway battery, for a capacity increase of about 45%
