>>>> Copperplate is also known as "copper plate etching", "copper etching", and

"etching", which is a kind of engraving. It refers to a kind of engraving

made on a metal plate by etching or directly cutting with a needle or knife.

It belongs to intaglio. Because the more commonly used metal plate is

copper plate, so it is called copperplate .

>>>> Dry engraving:

A plate-making method of copper plate. Use the engraving needle to directly

carve on the copper plate or zinc plate, and print with ink without corrosion.

The carving needle should be a very hard steel needle or a stylus with a

hard gem (or diamond) at the end of the pen.

>>>> Etching Corrosion method:

A plate-making method of copper plate. It is to coat the plate with anticorrosive

wax or antiseptic (generally made of yellow wax, rosin, asphalt and other

acid-resistant materials) to form a layer of anticorrosive film, paint on the plate

with a carving needle, and then put it in corrosive solution (commonly used nitric

acid solution) for corrosion. Where the anticorrosive film is scraped off by the

cutting needle, it is corroded to form a concave line. The longer the corrosion

time is, the deeper the concave line is. The version is formed after removing the

anti-corrosion film. When printing, first coat the page with ink to make all the

concave lines filled with ink, then wipe the ink outside the concave line to make

all the concave lines filled with ink, then wipe the ink outside the concave line,

put it on the copper plate machine for stamping, the paper is pressed, and the

ink inside the concave line absorbs on the paper to form a convex line. Because of

the thickness, depth and density of the line, and the amount of ink wiped off the

line, a multi-level picture is formed A picture with complex tone changes.

on a special shake chisel knife to make the surface into dense rough

spots, resulting in black, and then scrape and flatten these rough

spots to different degrees through a scraper and pressing knife,
