My bags are the antidote for the poly-lined synthetic leather run-of-the-mill bags being produced in China. Most of my bags are full-grain leather; Artisan craft, with authentic distressed character, and many with modifications unique to our line. We only use high-grade men's belts for shoulder straps. This leather is reminiscent of equestrian leather halter straps. I also use half-centimeter thick mooseskin. Nothing wimpy here; quality and character that stands out and that will stand the test of a truly rugged lifestyle. Invest in a bag that you'll love more and more over time. Not all leather bags are created the same. A great quality leather bag is supposed to look better with time as the leather acquires marks and age-related wear. Make sure to check out my whole store. At the time of this listing, I have 171 items all unique vintage pieces. Many with added Mooseskin handles; my "trademark" unique idea. Once you have tried it you will wonder how you functioned before without an inside handle. Also on many of my briefcases, I add a mooseskin handle wrap. The handle is the point of contact that the owner has with their bag and moose skin is so pleasing to touch. My philosophy in writing descriptions is: a picture speaks 1000 words. What I love about this True Vintage Elephant Embossed Leather Briefcase:

Excellent Condition Elephant Embossed Leather - a Fantastic Look
XL Triple Gusset Design - Room for all of your gear. The adjustable brass catches have 3 levels to adjust to the size of your gear.
The Deerskin Reinforced handle... made by yours truly. The weakest point of a briefcase that is 70 years old is the handle. I have wrapped the handle in deerskin (in a color that matches) and used two pounded copper rivets (with leather washers) to secure it for generations to come. It is truly an heirloom quality case now. Deerskin is great because it does not need conditioning like the rest of the case, and it can even get wet and not dry the leather out. With the handle being the main point of contact, deerskin will add years of durability to this wonderful piece of history.
The handle is attached to the briefcase with metal (see the photos). This can be a point of wear and weakness on most cases that only use leather. This case uses metal which will keep this handle functioning for decades.
I have used two strips of matching deerskin leather to strengthen the back seam that bends back when opening the case. This is a point of stress on these old leather cases and can make a good case wear out quickly when put back into daily commission by the new owner. Preemptively placing two strips of leather here, made from deerskin, keeps the bag in great shape for decades. I have used Weldwood contact cement for leather to attach these two deerskin strips.
The case is lightweight (3 lbs).
The vintage open-faced luggage tag (secured with a strand of deerskin lacing with my own unique design that allows the luggage tag to hang flat against the case.
It does not have keys (I think this is a good thing) While I do like combination locks, keys are really a bad feature in my opinion on a briefcase. They get lost locking you out of your case. I have heard of many who resorted to destroying the clasp to get out their gear. So not having a key is really a good thing.
I love that the design does not have any zippers as these can be a point of failure with decades of use.
Another reason this case is so great. While I would use the brass push lock catches to secure the bag and leave the buckle open and free most of the time. If down the road either of the brass push locks fails to secure the bag, you simply can start using the buckle to secure your gear and you don't have to be concerned about your case being unusable.

This vintage leather briefcase is not for beginners! It has "seasoned veteran" written all over it. I imagine someone like a college student or a business professional who appreciates the rugged and vintage look taking this to a meeting. It is sure to get comments and compliments. It is unlined leather. Unlined cases are so much better and last so much longer.

Not the new "leather" coming out of China these days. Good old German Leather that reminds you of a different era when quality was king.

As shown in the photos: This bag fits my mock-up wooden MacBook Pro 2019 in all 3 gussets. It has for measurements: 13.75" x 9.48" x Thickness 0.61" It may fit a bit larger laptop so please contact me if you want me to measure for your specific laptop.
