1900 Hunting Top Hat - black silk (Tress & Co) size 6 3/4"

Get Ascot ready.  This is a rare find - a beautiful quality vintage hunting topper which is sized 6 3/4" (small).  The condition is incredible for a hat that is over 100 years old!

Height is 5½".  The hole for your head is 7 3/4” at widest, 6¼” at narrowest and the inner circumference is 21½”.

Exterior: The hat is in good condition but could benefit from a little TLC.  The black silk has a superb shine and only small areas of wear but these do not take away from the overall look.

Interior: As this is a hunting topper, it is quilted fabric with grosgrain extender tied with original string.  Condition is used but not torn.

Inside the hat is marked Tress & Co, London (with a note 'prize medals awarded to' which pertains to the prizes they were awarded in London in 1862)

Green box (not original) included.

Would be perfect for Ascot or even an Eventer.  A hat collector would also be really interested!  This hat is exceptionally special and so much nicer than the modern reproductions on offer today!
