THE PRICE IS THE PRICE, NO DISCOUNTS TAKE A LOOK AT SOME OF THE RADIOS I HAVE LISTED ON EBAY, THIS IS ONLY A SMALL FRACTION OF MY COLLECTION, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, THIS RADIO IS PART OF A MILLION DOLLAR COLLECTION.

This radio has never been on Ebay or at any radio show. Even my old radio and TV man, Joe Milano who retired 30 years ago and died once said, “that he has never seen this radio ever, in all the years of radio repair” and radio shows he attended. As the story goes, John Deloria worked at an insurance company and a co-worker gave him this radio because he was a radio collector. Mr. Deloria then sold it to Ken Ise at which it was sold to me for a high price. At first, I wouldn’t spend the money and after speaking to Joe Milano again, he said, I better drive back to New Hampshire from New Jersey a second time (6 1/2 hours each way) and buy that radio. Little did I know that this radio is beyond rare. Several avid Fada collectors have said to me that there were only 75 Model 212 radios made and I would assume that there are fewer survived. This is a life time of waiting, I am 70 years old and it is time to pass this historic radio on to another collector and let someone else enjoy the hobby of collecting radios, that is why my Ebay name is: “hobbiestoenjoy”.

Condition is as follows:

1)  Original finish in remarkable condition

2)  Original knobs

3)  Original speaker

4)  Original grill cloth but there is a slight hole as seen in photo

5)  According to my radio repairman Joe Milano, he said, the tuning eye does not work because there is a special hook up to the I.F. coil circuit, otherwise the rest of the chassis should work. In addition, there is a special plug hook up to the chassis to connect the tuning eye as shown in pictures.

6)  I believe this is a 4 - band radio AM, police, and short wave etc. and I am unable to test to see if all the radio bands work, therefore the radio is being sold as is.

7)  The radio measures: 25 ¼” high x 19 ½” wide x 12 /8” deep

This is an old electrical device that can short which was made of substandard parts with no safety circuit protect. I will not be responsible for any damages, loss, toxic materials, health, electrical injuries, fire; legal fees, as well as environmental concerns for testing and disposal. It also should be noted that radio manufacturers might have use toxic and dangerous internal materials in the construction of this radio which varied from manufacturer to manufacturer (cadmium, lead & asbestos), therefore this caution will serve as notice to the buyer and will not be the responsibility of the seller for any of the legal concerns under all conditions including resale from buyer to buyer.
