Up for grabs is an interesting "500-type" desk telephone used on a local independent system (LaPorte City, IA). I believe it started life as a 1959 ITT-Kellogg (still retains its dial card), and the handset/case were updated in the 70's, however it still has fixed cords (non-modular), including an extended-length handset cord. The original wall cord is also in good shape with spade terminals intact.

What also makes this phone extra interesting is the party-line ringer (see photo). I have tested this phone on my PBX and audio is clear both ways and it dials out just as it should. Since the ringer is tuned to respond to a certain frequency, it doesn't ring on my system, but I can feel the clapper responding slightly, so it is working as designed.

Overall condition is good, with typical scratches from 50+ years of use, including some under where the handset rests. There are no cracks to the plastic, and the handset cord is nice- no kinks, non-sticky.

I'm selling off a number of older rotary phones that are duplicates or spares from my years of collecting, so feel free to take a look at my other listings, and reach out if you have any questions at all!

If you are purchasing this phone to use, be advised you either need a land line phone connection, or a VOIP solution that supports pulse dialing. The ringer in this phone will not work with standard frequency ringing unless modifications are made.
