Extra Large Platform Folding Step, with or without Support Handle
Excellent quality, sturdy, aluminium and steel step rated to 150kg weight (23 Stone 8 lbs)
Lightweight and compact, the legs lock with a safety button in both the up and down positions
For those of us a little less steady on our feet, the large platform size and splayed legs make these steps exceptionally stable - the legs give a footprint on the ground of 54 x 37 cm / 21" x just under 15" - the legs lock very firmly in position, they cannot fold unless their release button is pressed. I use these steps on my own motorhome.
The platform does not flex like cheap steps - the 4 aluminium rails that make it up not only have a deep 2.5cm / 1" cross section, they also have a central box section underneath. They are firmly rivetted to steel U-section end rails
The version without a handle:-
Weighs just 2.9kg / 6lb 5 ozs
Platform size of 43 x 30 cm (17" x 12")
Platform top sits just over 22cm (9") above the ground
Very compact when folded - just 8cm / 3" deep x the platform size
The version with a telescopic handle:-
As above, except
Weighs 3.7kg / 8lb 4 ozs
Still compact when folded - just 10cm / 4" deep
A little longer when folded than the non-handle version, 50cm / just under 20" long by the platform width of 30cm / 12"
The optional folding, telescopic handle for extra reassurance is at a height of 69 cm / 27" above the platform, with a grippy soft rubber handle
We now have a further option if you are buying the handle step - add a suction handle for only an extra £5, we normally sell these for £7 at shows. These stick to the outside of your van to give a grip for your other hand when climbing in. As with any suction grip, they need to go on a very smooth surface and do not position it on top of decals.
Don't just take my word for how good these steps are - I have another listing just for the handle step, feedback from customers who have bought it include:-
