spectacular Erzgebirge wooden figure hunter for Brandy bottle, carved

This is a very interesting object from Erzgebirge/Germany. The figure of a hunter with a rifle and a shot goose consists of two halves. In this figure one hid his brandy from the "cursing housewife". The figure is hand carved and painted. It is rare unique piece. The two halves are locked with a small metal latch.This is complete, but does not lock correctly, just apply a little pressure.



Measurement: about 47cm /18,5 inch tall, 1800 grams
