1. INTENDED USE

Early Pregnancy Rapid Test is a sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of early pregnancy factor in dog’s serum

Assay Time: 5-10 min

Sample: serum
Test requires a blood sample!!! Works with serum or plasma. Test does not include any blood collection equipment. A centrifuge is needed to get the serum and plasma required for the test. The test can be performed as early as 22 days after mating (ideally 25 days). For smaller breeds and cats we recommend to perform the test at least 30 days after mating for better accuracy. Early detection can lead to negative results. Relaxin is a specific hormone generated mainly by the placenta. It is usually used as an indicator of pregnancy status in female dogs/cats. In pregnant pets, relaxin can be detected from 15 days after the nidation of fertilized egg in the uterus wall. The A PET CARE Pregnancy@Relaxin Rapid Test is a rapid test to detect relaxin in pet’s blood. The suggested detection period is 20-30 days after mating. Too early detection may lead to a negative result when relaxin in serum is too low. It is suggested to repeat the test after 1 week if a negative result was observed.

2. PRINCIPLE OF THE ASSAY

Early Pregnancy Rapid Test is based on sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. The test device has a testing window. The testing window has an invisible T (test) zone and C (control) zone. When sample is applied into the sample hole on the device, the liquid will laterally flow on the surface of the test strip. If there is enough Early Pregnancy Rapid Test in the sample, a visible T band will appear. The C band should always appear after a sample is applied, indicating a valid result. By this means, the device can accurately indicate the presence of Early Pregnancy Rapid Test in the sample..

3. KIT COMPONENT

- Test cassette
- Sterile Disposable Dropper
- Centrifuge Tube
-Product Manual

10-Pack comes in original color box package. 1, 2,3, 5-Pack kits come without color box package.

4. TEST PROCEDURE

1st Step

- Collect dog’s blood 1ml Centrifugal: 1500speed/minute. (If samples don’t need to be test immediately, then shall be kept in cold storage; if samples are kept over 24 hours, then shall be cryopreservation).

2nd step

- Take out the cassette from the foil pouch and place it horizontally.

3rd Step

- Open the transparent cap of the Sample tube, then Break off the top section, put the top of the sample tube down.

4th Step

-Gradually drip 2-3 drops of serum into the sample hole “S”.

5th Step

- Interpret the result in 5-10 minutes. Result after 10 minutes is considered as invalid..

6. STORAGE

The kit can be stored at room temperature (2-30°C). The test kit is stable through the expiration date (18 months) marked on the foil pouch. DO NOT FREEZE. Do not store the test kit in direct sunlight.

7. PRECAUTIONS

- For best results, please strictly adhere to these instructions.
- All reagents must be placed at room temperature before running the assay.
- Do not remove test cassette from its pouch until immediately before use.

- Do not reuse the test kit.
- Do not use the test beyond its expiration date marked on the foil pouch.
- The components in this kit have been quality control tested as standard batch unit. Do not mix components from different lot numbers.
