Up for purchase is a large, 29.4 g (around 145 carat) piece of very rare, untreated amber from the region of Aceh, North Sumatra (Sumatera), Indonesia with a beautiful, dark green color when natural sunlight is shining on it. This is a very rare source for green amber.

A large window has been polished into this piece while the remainder is in the rough as mined.

The color may vary depending upon how sunlight is striking it also.

The piece weighs 29.4 grams (around 145 carats) and has a length of 50 mm, a width of 50 mm and 11 mm height. NOTE: 25.4 mm is 1 inch.

The piece could be fashioned into a most unique piece of jewelry!

It is acquired from coal mining usually.

All pictures were taken under natural sunlight, no color enhancements.

The color appears best when sunlight is shining on rather than through the piece and is due to the natural, untreated, chemical fluorescent properties of the amber.

Please see my feedback. I have been selling amber fossils for over 10 years on eBay and do not sell fake amber only genuine material from now extinct plant sources not glass or plastic embedded with present day inclusions.

Indonesian amber is a beautiful, all-natural amber from fossil trees that exhibits a rich range of colors.

Indonesian amber is a recent find. I also offer blue and green amber from other areas of Indonesia.

The color can rival that of the finest Dominican and Chiapas (Mexican) amber.

The color appears best when light is shining on rather than through the piece and is due to the natural, untreated, chemical fluorescent properties of the amber.

It was mined from the earth in the Indonesian province of Sumatra or Sumatera (southern region).  No treatment of any kind was done to this to enhance the color. The known quantity of this material is considerably less than that of Dominican blue amber.

I may also have pieces of West Kalimantan Borneo Blue amber, Sulawesi Blue amber, and West Papua Blue amber for sale which exhibits a unique blue sometimes violet color also.

A piece such as this would make a great addition to any fossil or gemstone collection.

Please see my Dominican and Burmite (Burmese) amber that has a variety of insect, botanical, and other types of inclusions along with my large pieces of fossiliferous Colombian copal at low starting bids.

I will combine items to save on shipping costs for up to 7 days.

International Buyers: Please note that I ship using First Class Mail International.

A SPECIAL NOTE CONCERNING INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: Please understand that import duties, taxes and charges are NOT included in the selling price or shipping charges.  These charges are the buyer's responsibility.

Please check your country's customs office to determine what these additional charges may be prior to bidding/buying.

I cannot guarantee delivery of your item in a set amount of time.  Different country's customs offices take longer to process items than others do.

Lastly, I do not mark merchandise values below their true value or mark items as "gifts."  U.S. and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.  Honesty is the best option.

I only sell genuine, all-natural, non-heat treated, reconstituted, or color enhanced amber.  This piece could be used as a specimen or in a piece of jewelry.  Thank you for your consideration.  This amber will ship worldwide.  I will combine items to save on shipping for up to a 7 day period and usually ship within a 24 hour period

Please note that the saltwater test to identify real from fake amber is not reliable. The saltwater test claims that real amber will float in saltwater while fake amber will sink.

However, many amber sources or even specimens will not float in saltwater as their botanical (plant) composition as well as fossil inclusions are such that they are more dense than saltwater and so sink. I do not sell fake amber. My feedback should help demonstrate this.
