Previous owner's daughter dated this casting to approximately the early 1950's and possibly earlier. There are no identification marks on the piece. This is an excellent example of quality cast metal work...the cast markings are only visible on the underbelly. Time and attention to detail was taken with this metal cast and the paint is outstandingly realistic. The piece shows small voids throughout that are common for cast Iron pieces of this nature. This statue has great appeal and patina. We could not find another example like this in research... overall condition is EUC excellent used condition.
