VIOLA CORSICA "LITTLE GEM", CORSICAN VIOLET

A little-known but very valuable violet from Corsica and Sardinia. Compact plants form a low mound of bright green leaves, bearing loads of deep violet-blue, quite large flowers (3-3,5 cm across) with a tiny yellow centre. The blooms are often produced year round and can completely cover foliage. Ideal for rock garden, edging, pots, front of the border and as a cut flower. Flowers first year from sowing.
