I am a Cabinet Maker by trade and woodworker by passion.  I use trim routers everyday, purchased 2 Makita Cordless routers and instantly knew the stock router base was worthless.  So, I made my own.  My router base is far more stable, safer, durable, and easier to use.  There made out of 4"x5"x5/16" clear acrylic, which is much larger and thicker than the stock one.  This base is also much harder to break or chip.
