Coasters Soviet Cosmos was made at the Kolchuginsky plant named after Sergo Ordzhonikidze. These cup holders were produced from 1961 to 1975. The glass holder has an interesting artistic design: in the central model, against the background of the globe, the tower of the Moscow Kremlin, a laurel branch, artificial satellites of the Earth, rockets heading for the moon are depicted, along the outer perimeter there is a decor of grape branches with ripe bunches of grapes, on the outer edge there is a pearl, on the bottom cut segments and ornament. The classic shape, the combination of the embossed and smooth polished surface of the coaster, gives the impression of a simple yet artificially thought-out artistic solution. A comfortable handle rich in artistic design, the cup holder will also leave it in the category of rare skillfully executed artistic products. The diameter of the cup holder corresponds to the standard size of a crystal or glass tea cup of the Soviet period. Coasters have long ceased to be just cup holders for glass cups from which they drink hot tea, they have turned into a piece of arts and crafts, a collector's item. Thus, a beautiful cup holder is not only a practical thing for tea drinking, but also a wonderful gift.
