JVC vn-e4 4ch network encoder.

JVC VN-E4U

Features

The JVC VN-E4U 4-channel video encoder converts analog video signals received from up to 4 conventional cameras into a digital video stream for transmission over a network. A video encoder is an essential tool for security applications containing both analog and digital equipment. Among other functions, it provides a viable solution for sending high resolution analog video over long distances. Instead of using costly and signal deteriorating lengths of BNC cable, video is transmitted for most of the way over low-cost and easy to install Ethernet cable.

High Quality Encoding

Video is encoded using the highly versatile JPEG compression method and is streamed at speeds up to 30 FPS per channel and at a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels.

Simultaneous VGA and QVGA Streaming

Video is encoded simultaneously in VGA and QVGA resolutions. This allows a user to view images in high quality at the same time video is being streamed to a DVR at a lower resolution, or vice versa, depending on the application.

Motion Detection Function

Motion detection not only alerts an operator to suspicious activities but also saves time and valuable recording space by transmitting only important images.

2-Way Audio (single channel)

Audio from a single camera can be transmitted along with its video. When used with appropriate audio equipment at both ends of the network, it is possible for a network user to hear and speak with a person at the camera location.

Alarm I/O Ports

A number of external sensor devices can be attached to trigger alarms or to activate equipment following an alarm event.
