Punk legends The Donnas originally signed this Atlantic Records promotional photo at an in-store appearance in the early 2000's, with all 4 original members: Brett Anderson (Donna A.), Allison Robertson (Donna R.), Maya Ford (Donna F.) and Torry Castellano (Donna C.).
I purchased the original signed 8x10 photo from a former record company employee (with a huge autograph collection) who was in charge of band appearances in records stores and other locations.
This is a must-have for any Donnas fan, it's a beautiful photo, and beautifully signed, and would look incredible framed. It was originally signed in blue Sharpie, which looks really nice with the black & white photo and boldly stands out. The actual photo looks better than the photo I took.
After playing together since 1993, going through a couple name changes, releasing 4 albums on small record labels, and building a following, The Donnas signed with Atlantic Records in 2001, and released "Spend the Night" in 2002, which was their first mainstream success. With their single "Take it Off" they were booked for appearances on Total Request Live, Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and The Late Show with David Letterman. In the summer of 2003, they played the main stage at Lollapalooza. The Donnas music can also be found in many video game soundtracks and numerous film soundtracks and commercials.
