This is a labor of love, finally available after exceeding expectations in uniformity and finish.
These washers are stamp cut from a sheet of Phosphorous Bronze, carrying high spots on one side and low spots on the other. We begin with a coarse hand lapping stage to create a true flat surface finish for uniformity, then a center deburr which also polishes the inner diameter. The second stage of fine hand lapping begins to remove the rough finish created from the previous step. Now the washers are deep cleaned in isopropyl alcohol to remove abrasive media to prevent contaminating during the fine polishing stages. When they finish through the fine polish step of 3Micron on soft backing, the washers will have a uniform bright sheen and perfect reflective surface, bearing uniformity and a true flat contact surface. The final step is another isopropyl alcohol bath before being packed individually and bubble wrap sealed for shipping.
The process is no secret, and can be easily replicated. It will require good tools. The end result is made available here without heartache.
