in       VF    8.0          condition......This auction is for a 2nd edition copy of Origins of Marvel Comics by Stan Lee..  

  Published by Fireside books for Stan the Man Lee..  These books are not comic books even though they do exist  in the Overstreet price guide under fireside books..  I don't know a lot about 1st editions as far as real books go..   i do know that in 1974 the price for this book was 5.95 which is a match..  also, one of the pages matches my other 2 first editions..  it has a page thar mostly 1  threw 10 written out, one after the other like 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 but on this page there is always one of the numbers missing..  this book has the number 1 missing..  as do my other 2 1st editions..  so i'm thinking thats mean 1st edition, since the 1 is gone..  i do have a Sons of Origins that has 1 2 and 3 missing from this copy right page and i am thinking it is the 3rd edition..  of course, the 1st edition of any book written by a popular writer will be with more then any other run printed of the book..   so that is how i am figuring out the price this one.. dont what im going to fo about my 3rd edition yet but it does have other issues anyways..  this book condition wise is not to bad since it will be 50 years old next year..  it has the Fantastic Four #1 & #55 reprinted in it. The Hulk #1 & #118 ( with Sub-Mariner).  Amazing Fantasy #15 and Amazing Spider-man #72..  Journey into Mystery #83 and Thor #143.  Dr Strange gets 3 stories..  one of the is #169, not sure about the other two..  these fireside books will be sent in priority mailers which will run 9.00..  sorry, they are over the 1lb limit put on fist class option..    

  ***********  sorry, googled the 1st prints of books and it states if you have 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10, then its a 1st edition..  if the 1 is missing then the book is a second print...     all the way up to 10 prints i guess..      either way, this book is a second print..  thanks,..
